In this graduate thesis, it is described how implementing new rollers of rolo press can optimize the production process by reducing the cost of standard rolls and their maintenance by installing Hexadur replacement rollers that have a longer life, and do not require maintenance. The work is divided into six (6) parts, in the second part it describes the method of cement production, the raw materials needed for cement production, their transport and the activities needed to produced cement, and the third part includes the conceptual determination of roller presses, rollers and clarifies how to maintain rollers, as well as roller replacement. Part Four examines the characteristics of Koppern Hederux rollers, their references as well as the production method. The fifth chapter is a cost-benefit analysis that addresses the costs of maintenance of standard rollers and the cost of purchasing Koppern-Hexadur rollers. The conclusion is explained on the basis of the Cost Benefit analysis that the investment with more expensive Hexadur roller technology is more cost-effective with many aspects of economic, production and maintenance aspects.
