When we consider the situation and the problem, we can conclude the following. Given that this is an educational institution and that students would have better access to information and materials that are now largely on the Internet, it is very important that the wireless signal coverage at the Istrian Polytechnic Pula is as good as possible. The construction of the building, which is from the last century, limits the possibilities of infrastructure installation and there are a couple of "zones" in which the wireless signal is weak. It would be a large lobby where there is a table (old building), part of the Maritima classroom and part of the waterfront classroom 2a which is some 12 m away from the access point. The problem is because most students gather in the lobby before lectures and during free time and potentially learn and repeat. That is why it is necessary that the signal is stable and strong in such rooms. To improve the signal there are a couple of solutions and some of them are as follows. Redistributing certain access points from a place where a strong signal is less needed to a place closer to the lobby would potentially increase signal quality. A slightly more expensive solution is to purchase one or more more devices to ensure better overall coverage. Also a little less important problem but again not negligible that not all access points are from the same manufacturer, therefore they can not be well paired in relation to the fact that they are all the same, it would be easier to manage the entire network because everything would be based on the same principle and interface. When summarizing all that has been said so far, it can be said with certainty that the age of the building and the diversity of materials within it limit the transmission of the wireless signal to a certain extent. With the help of measurements, places were found where the wireless signal is weak, and with the help of smart ideas, a couple of simple solutions were offered in order to cover these places with a quality wireless signal and students at the Istrian Polytechnic Pula would have the best conditions for learning and development. In accordance with the above, my hypothesis from the beginning of the paper was confirmed.
