This paper examines the role of entrepreneurs in the Croatian economy and all the regulatory, tax and administrative opportunities and shortcomings of the Republic of Croatia. The paper begins by defining entrepreneurship as a profession, and by classifying the type of entrepreneurial management of a company. It then investigates the entrepreneurial history and development of entrepreneurship in Croatia to date, considering all the entrepreneurial structure, infrastructure and institutions for encouraging the development of entrepreneurship in Croatia. Through research, information is obtained about entrepreneurial zones, centres, incubators, etc., which have a great influence on the economy of the Republic of Croatia. Throughout this work, the tax and bureaucratic obligations of entrepreneurs, which represent a huge burden on the progress of the economy, were also mentioned. This paper deals with the position of entrepreneurs in society as well as the perception of the company itself. All the regulations that an entrepreneur must comply with, as well as the benefits and entrepreneurial aid that are available.
